Bare Batana Oil - Pure & Authentic imported from Honduras

Introducing our premium Artisian Batana Oil, sourced directly from the heart of Honduras, where the lush landscapes and rich traditions come together to create a truly exceptional product. We at Protein Pouf pride ourselves on offering you the purest Batana Oil with NO middlemen, ensuring that every drop is a testament to quality and authenticity.

We had our suppliers zooming through the Honduran jungle on boats for this one 🤗

  • Batana oil comes from the American oil palm tree, Elaeis oleifera, which grows in the rainforests of Central and South America
  • The indigenous Miskito people of Honduras discovered batana oil as a beauty secret

Artisan Extraction Method

Our Batana Oil is extracted using a traditional artisan method that has been passed down through generations. This meticulous process involves hand-harvesting the nuts from the indigenous palm trees, followed by cold-pressing to retain the oil’s natural nutrients and rich, nourishing properties. This careful extraction method ensures that the oil is not only pure but also packed with the vitamins and minerals essential for healthy hair

✨Fair Prices✨

yes, Batana is expensive! Batana oil is expensive due to its labor-intensive extraction process, limited availability, high demand, and higher import costs. Its quality and purity also contribute to the higher price (We had to gather up our coins to order it in bulk, lol). While you may have come across overpriced and artificial and diluted Batana products for upwards of $50/4oz, we've avoided the excessive markup and offer the REAL DEAL to you at a fair price. Its just not in my nature to overcharge my awesome customers, sorry!

🍃Sustainable Sourcing🍃

Sourcing directly from local  in Honduras, we support sustainable practices and empower local artisans.

One Ingredient:

Unrefined Batana Oil (Elaeis Oleifera Kernel Oil)

(Melted down to an oil for accurate distribution)

Batana oil is rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins

Batana is also excellent for skin:

🌴Seals in moisture

🌴Reduces inflammation and redness

🌴Protects against free radical damage

🌴Improves skin elasticity and tone

Is all Batana created equal?

Since real Batana is an organic product, even within the same production batch, slight differences can occur due to the natural variations in the nuts themselves, leading to inconsistencies in the final product.

‼️ Dont get scammed with Fake Batana!‼️

We tested other popular Batana oils so you didn’t have to! One brand in particular did NOT melt despite of being advertised as unrefined Batana oil.  Here are some things to look out for whether choosing Batana oil.

Authentic batana oil has a rich, dark brown color, a nutty or smoky scent, and a thick, slightly grainy texture when unrefined. Fake or diluted versions may be lighter in color, lack the distinct smell, or feel overly smooth or watery (like a cream). Authentic batana oil melts in warm temperatures. We applied  heat gun test all 3 batana oils and one did not melt, indicating that it was a water based substance

✅Apply to Scalp and Hair: Massage the oil into your scalp using your fingertips to stimulate blood circulation. Then, work it through the lengths of your hair, focusing on the ends (You can also apply this to your skin)
✅leave in OR Rinse Out: (Rinsing out is a better option, for type 1-2 hair types) Wash your hair with Protein Pouf sulfate-free shampoo and condition as usual.
