Let’s talk about braids, in particular. Braids are a great protective style, but it’s also important to protect YOUR hair, especially when the ends become untucked. Pictured are the vulnerable ends of your hair; the oldest and most fragile part of your strands.
They play a significant role in determining the health and length retention of your hair. Unmaintained ends are extremely vulnerable, particularly when untucked (especially type 3/4 hair).

How to get the best out of your protective styles:
🍃Avoid or limit High Tension styles. Repeatedly pulling at your hair roots can PERMANENTLY cause damage that NO oil can grow back, including ours 🤷🏾♀️
🍃Spritz your hair nightly with Sunsplash conditioner spray/Cloud mist. They conveniently and effortlessly keep the hair hydrated and supple which completely prevents breakage.
🍃Wear a scarf, durag or bonnet at night. NEVER sleep on a cotton pillow case. Cotton will draw the moisture from your hair and skin. It causes hair breakage from the friction and lack of moisture. (we carry all items in our shop).
🍃Oil your scalp with our Ayurvedic oil to keep your follicles healthy and strong (it might grow your hair a lot faster though, sorry🫣)
🍃Take those braids out in due time!

Instructions:
Lightly mist your twists, braids, or locs every other day, alternating between Sunsplash and Cloud Mist. Oil and massage your scalp 3–4 times a week with our Ayurvedic oil
Tip For wig wearers:
Wear a wig cap underneath your wigs. At night, remove the wig cap and tie your hair down with a satin scarf after misting/oiling your hair. This will allow the moisture from the products to absorb into the hair and scalp effectively. Hi, I really wanted these products to work for my son. He has eczema so his scalp is drier than most. I like the spray that made his hair feel good. The oil was a little drying to his scalp after a week of use, it was no longer moisturizing his scalp causing more drying. The lotion is nice but once his scalp absorbs it an hour later he is scratching his head severely. I did see that you have a brown cream with Batana in it. I will try that cream instead for him in the future. Thank you.

Here I am with the update I promised! My low density low porosity hair has been growing about 1 inch per month. I’ve been keeping it braided down, misting it nightly with SunSplash/cloud mist, and oiling with Batana and my Ayurvedic oil. After that, I wrap it with a satin scarf to help lock in the moisture and nutrients. I deep condition with Batana or Papaya Palooza biweekly or monthly. That’s pretty much my routine… I’ll be posting my next update mid spring and then my 1 year update at the end of summer.

Although I have used the leave in and butter on my and my son’s hair already, this was my first time using the shampoo and hair mask last night for prep to blowout/flat iron.
